The Earth is held in place by force you cannot see, it is held in place by nothing you can physically touch, taste, smell, see, or hear. (Job 26:7) Science did not discover this truth until 1650. During the times of Job’s life and even thousands of years into the future for thousands of years the more “intellectual” people of day believed the earth either sat on the back of a turtle, a catfish, a man, or a “titan.” So how did a man named Job who lived somewhere from 1500-1700 B.C, understand this truth that wasn’t known until 1650 A.D. He was inspired by God.
God tells us in Isaiah 40:22 that the Earth is round! When was Isaiah written? 750 B.C. Wait a minute 750 B.C a man living in Babylon knew that the earth was round? Weren’t people afraid when Columbus sailed to America he might fall off of the edge of a flat world? That is correct it wasn’t discovered until the 15th Century that the Earth was in fact round. How could he have known this so far back when this would have been a preposterous idea unknown until the age of the discovery of America? He was inspired by God.
When it comes to life and death, blood is an important necessity! People often receive blood transfusions in modern times to survive. God told us this important fact that blood is essential to sustaining life. (Lev 17:11) It is sad that this was not figured out sooner by the majority of the scientific community, because it most likely led to the death of the first President of the United States, George Washington.. This practice of bleeding was common until 19th century when something was discovered; the life of the flesh is in the blood. How did Moses know about this So many years in advance even before the Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, French, English, and the Americans? He was inspired by God.
During the reign of King Solomon we learned something else, something about the wind. Imagine yourself living in Solomon’s time. What would you know about the wind? Only what you could see and feel, right? Sometimes the wind comes from the north or maybe from the south in the morning then later change and blow from the west. It would not be conceived of that the wind had some sort of pattern, just simply that the wind blew. Ecc 1:6 tell us "The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north. The wind whirls about continually, and comes again on its circuit."
How could he have known that thousands of years ago? This would not be observable to him. A French scientist who studied and identified the wind circuits discovered it in 1843. What this scientist discovered supported what God has spoken thousand of years in advance.
