Sometimes, we think we are doing the right thing and we think that what we perceive is correct, but it turns out not to be. Would it surprise you to know that people have this happen in religion as well? A vast amount of people today think that the way they believe, the way they live, and the way they worship is in line with what God wants. But Jesus the Christ said that just believing that we are correct with all of our hearts and claiming Christianity is not all that is needed (Mat. 7:21). Sometimes, we allow our consciences to take over when we need to let our Christ take over. We stray from the path of righteousness because we, “Just can’t see how this could be wrong.” But the way to see if it is wrong is to search the Scriptures (Acts 17:11). After all, they are the things given by our God to tell us how He wants us to live (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
Two campers from Florida found what they thought was a stranded puppy during a visit to Idaho recently. Being affectionate to animals in need, the campers took their new friend to a vet to have him checked to make sure he was ok. Come to find out, the sweet little puppy was a full-fledged wolf pup. The pup was alright but very thin, probably because of the stress of being separated from its mother during her trying to move her pups and being distracted by something that scared her away (thought to be a car or something passing by). Even though these campers had the best in mind when taking the small, defenseless animal to the vet, and even though they thought that the puppy was just a domestic dog that had been dropped or forgotten by some other campers, it turned out that they were wrong. For now, the wolf pup is at the Boise Zoo until it is discovered if he can be introduced back into the wild.
